Maryland Lady Stars
Mission Statement
The Maryland Lady Stars is a non-profit organization committed to providing
competitive basketball experiences for girls between the ages of 10 - 18, in Prince George's County.
The Maryland Lady Stars participates in the Potomac Valley Regional AAU
Association and the Maryland Park & Planning Leagues. Competitions are conducted
on the local, regional and state levels throughout the United States. Winners of the
regional and state competitions meet at a national site and play for the
AAU/USA Junior Olympic National Championship.
Through hard work, determination and commitment toward amateur sports,
many of our girls will gain opportunities to further both their education and
sports play at Division I and II colleges. They will also have an opportunity
to receive scholarships at these colleges.
A small initial investment in our youth today is the seed that develops
into a rich and vibrant community for tomorrow.
